When I was a child, I always thought that wearing glasses is so cool, which can make you look mature just like a scholar. So I sometimes like to wear my grandpa’s old glasses pretending to look like a learned expert. It is so funny, when I recall that memory now. I was fantastic about the glass all my childhood.
How time flies, the pressure from the homework held my breath, and the schoolbag on my shoulder was becoming heavier and heavier. what’s worse , the text in the book was becoming more and more blurred , which made me afraid. After a few days , I can’t even see the words which the teacher wrote down on the blackboard . I asked my mother, “What’s the matter.” She only shakes her head and says “You get shortsighted.” From then on, I started to wearing glasses. The time I wore my glasses, I was shocked by the world I saw. It was such a clear world that I never saw. I felt so familiar and strange that I couldn’t believe it was true. So I kept asking myself what’s the difference between true world and the world I saw from the glasses. I got confused.
Now I have worn the glasses for 7 years. And I have been accustomed to observe the whole world without confusion. But when I remove my glasses, all that I see is fog. I have received the fact that I can’t see the blue sky with my own eyes. I can not get rid of the fact any more and I must face the truth I have lost something important.
I am always thinking what I have lost. Are the clear eyes that my mother gives to me? Is the beautiful rose that I must see behind glasses? Is the matter that I can’t live my free life? …… I think a lot, but I know all that doesn’t counts. The problem is that I have lost the right to look my parents , my girlfriend ,my classmates , my pets , even the flower I planted with my real and clear eyes . I have lost the right which I should treasure. Just like an amber, you can only see it, but you can never feel it just because something have existed there which can prevent you form touch it.
I was very pity about it. So if I have another chance, I think I would not be ‘cool’ instead having bright eyes. |
